We wish to thank everyone for the amazing moral support we have received. All funds from our store goes towards RV upgrades. Our next project is solar installation.
For RaWednesday there’s nothing better than avocado. Avocado is a fruit that is usually eaten raw. It is quite filling as it has properties of (good) fat, potassium, beta carotene, and vitamin A.
I use avocados in smoothies, salads, as the main ingredient of burritos and shown here, guacamole. We eat avocados several times a week during the summer. We cannot wait to make chocolate mousse with avocados!
Simple Chunky Guacamole
One chopped avocado;
1/4 tomato diced;
1/8 onion diced;
Two pinches of garlic salt.
Served here with yellow bell peppers as the crunchy scooper. Serves 1-2, Yum!
When I think of Myrtle Beach, my mind conjures thoughts of golfers, tourists, the boardwalk, high-rise condos and overly crowded beaches. And more recently, the Dixie Stampede, southern entertainment at its finest.
We are looking for a different type of energy, not necessarily the hustle and bustle of action rides, glittery shows and herds of people. The energy we seek is one from a powerful sunrise on the ocean, the majestic century-old oak trees or a crackling campfire - and we found it, right here in Myrtle Beach.
The State Park is 300 acres of camping bliss.
Tall, gorgeous trees; a long stretch of sandy beach with those high-rises way off in the distance; walking trails; practically private pitches in most areas; kept bathrooms and laundromats; and a fun and friendly staff.
The campground was practically full, because it is so popular, but we never felt over-crowded. All of the other campers were friendly and obviously enjoyed being there. The beach was simply amazing, and the sunrises, breath-taking.
Our stay was incredible and we plan to visit again soon.

We’ve only been on the road a short time and have already met so many interesting and intelligent individuals. Yes, they all happen to be canine. Want to meet them? Go to our photo gallery here >
I’m sure that this photo gallery will grow over the months!
Thank you for your response to our renovation. Everyone has been so complimentary! We’ve had many questions regarding the renovation and we’ve tried to answer everyone. If you have not heard from us after posting a question, please email us and we’ll get back to you.
In a future post, we will highlight some of the frequently asked questions with our answers.
We’ve also had a lot of questions regarding what we bought to make our RV renovation happen. Here is the list of items we purchased for the renovation, with corresponding prices.
RaWednesday is officially underway and to start, I want to introduce a green smoothie. It is nothing special, just your average green smoothie, but many have not made one before, so I thought I’d share.
Ingredients:
ice [one cup]
bananas [2 small]
baby spinach [3 cups]
pineapple juice, not from concentrate [2 cups]
Tools: blender
Time: 4 minutes, total
Many people use different fruits, and different greens, and so do I. This is just one (simple) example. Put all raw ingredients in blender, in the order listed above. Blend on high speed for 1 minute. Pour, enjoy! Serves 3 to 4. Or half the ingredients and create one big solo smoothie.
Have a favorite smoothie? Are you a juicer? Please feel free to share with us!
Well, I guess we do not officially have a hood… We needed some mechanical work completed on our RV, and we were fortunate to know someone who knew someone. We camped at Gail and Billy’s for a couple of days while their trusted and talented friend Ray came to our rescue.
We had blown a gasket on our trip south and Ray installed new hedders, which was no easy task. He fixed a vacuum leak, gave us some valuable advice and charged us a friendly price. Not only did we get the RV in prime shape for our adventure, but we made a new friend as well. If you find yourself near Rocky Point, North Carolina needing a mechanic, contact us and we’ll get you in touch with Ray.
We have completed the interior RV renovation and we could not be happier. We are very fortunate that we already loved everything inside the RV and all we needed to accomplish was a cosmetic overhaul. Paint, new hardware, fabric, carpet, wood laminate flooring, new shower fixture, and some other small items, and a lot of elbow grease, grunting and sweating.
We spent approximately $1,200 on the renovation (we bought a lot of paint!) - and we plan to share our purchase list with you in an upcoming post. And yes, we completed the entire process ourselves (some have asked). We did have one individual gift us our lovely new wardrobe mirrors, including installation (thanks Jerry!) - they are fantastic!
If you are interested in seeing the results, we have them posted for you here >
Yep, our interior design has been finished, and we’re ready to show you the results. In true HGTV-style, we’ve knocked up a video to show our before and after exploits. We have a Flickr image gallery coming soon too.
The No Destination blog was down for a brief period tonight while we updated our blog software. Normal service has now been resumed. The update allows us to blog using a snazzy little iPhone application, and adds a couple of features we’ll showcase over the next couple of days.
